Smoke Free Park Event

Benjamin Niendick’s mother helps him and Corbin Phillips enjoy a cool drink at the 2008 Marion County Relay for Life in Flippin’s Hickey Park last weekend. Signage on the fountain recognizes the Relay for Life as Marion County’s first smoke free event. Tobacco use accounts for almost a third of all cancers and 87% of lung cancer. Tobacco Free Marion County contributed as one of the 2008 corporate sponsors for the Relay.
